Cornucopia A perfectly round island sits in the middle of the arena. Four bridges stretch out to it, connecting it to the rest of the landscape. At the edge of each bridge is a giant wooden gate topped with a pair of torches to light your way. A tall metal fence sparking with electricity and tall ferns so green they look fake enclose the moated area. In the middle of it all snuggled into the warm sandy ground are two huge round objects as tall as the gates themselves. They feel as hard as stone but the flecking pattern across them suggests a farm fresh egg. (credit: sbeeg d6a georgie cham 🍓🐢 frankel pearl mcclain d4 [ryan])

Research Outpost Look up and you will see the remarkable rusting buildings on stilts. These once housed the wildest of research studies but why are they so high up? Maybe to reach the height of the subjects that were being studied…?Climb up the ladders and take a peek inside the research outpost and maybe you will find a few methods, conclusions and aims written down amongst all the dead machines and screens that flicker a red light now and then. Make sure you don’t press a button though, you don’t know what's lurking in the data… (credit: d6a georgie cham 🍓🐢 frankel))

Nesting Marsh There is a feeling of peace when you first step into the nesting marsh. Everything is lush, green and slightly damp with each step that you trudge through the wet marshland except there is something growing here. Amongst the thick grass are the largest eggs that you have ever seen. All individually placed, a few feet apart and they look like they could make an omelette a day for a family of four for a whole year. But what is growing inside these abnormally large shells? It may be best not to stick around to find out! (credit: d6a georgie cham 🍓🐢 frankel)

Crater Basin The land has been impacted in a way that made it concave on itself. Brown in color, but there is still signs of plant life around. It grows in wild patches against the basin, but at least you know that it can support life. Even if its all just fleeting. You feel like there is miles inbetween the raised edges of the ground, but that is but the least of your worries. Good luck trying to conceal yourself from others, because unless you are resting by the edges, or maybe have a shovel, camouflaging might as well be non-existent. They do say the ground is soft enough to rest on. Maybe if you dig, you will find some sort of hidden gem that you could take and hide away. After all, this is all in the name of science! Volcanic Dunes The ground reaches up to greet you before sloping down again. The entire area is covered in these gentle hills, each one crowned with brilliant bright red. Red as the sunset, red as blood. Trees dot the landscape but provide little in the way of cover or shade. The life has been scorched out of them, their branches charred and black and their leaves a long lost memory. It’s beautiful, but open and difficult terrain. Volcanic ash blows in the breeze, filling your mouth and dusting your hair. Plants and animals unable to escape lava flow from centuries prior reach up through the ground like jagged bones, coated in a dark layer of hard stone and topped with red as if painted by an artist. Enjoy the view, but don’t stay too long. (credit: sbeeg)

Rusted Garage The large structure has caved in on itself in the middle. Sheets of metal bent and twisted, crumbling into orange rust from age. If you venture past the jagged edges of what once were walls you’ll find inside a small haven from the sun and other tributes. The floor is covered in ancient oil and grease and dilapidated car parts. Engine blocks sit abandoned waiting for repair, tires are stacked up against the wall, mushrooms sprouting from the dark hollow gaps. Dusty tarps cover large machines parked in the corner and on the cluttered counter nearby there’s a rack with five sets of keys each one paired with a keychain of a plastic egg. The whole room smells like gasoline which can leave a tribute lightheaded and vulnerable. (credit: sbeeg)

Cycad Valley Lush greenery reigns supreme here. Actually, its probably the only thing that you will find here in the valley. It is home to many creatures, and soon enough, you will be one of them yourself. Verdant and crisp, you will be able to rest easy, knowing that you will not suffocate at a moments notice. A machete will be your best friend here, but be careful where you swing that thing. The last thing that you would want is to chop into something that might fight back. Enjoy a nice fire while you try to catch a glimpse of the sky moving through its phases, because there are ample places to conceal yourself here. Dont rest too easy though. You never know what might come lurking out of the shadows. (credit: pearl mcclain d4 [ryan])
