Hello Tributes! In discussing this with a few other writers, I had the thought that we might create a master character directory for tributes involved in the 89th Annual Hunger Games!

What is the purpose of this directory? For writers to introduce us to their tributes, track their plot developments, list their threads, and whatever else you feel like you'd want us to know.

The point is to give us wayward readers a chance to get a 'blurb' about your character. Sort of a character summary as we do with Retro Games. Think of this as the back book jacket for your tribute, where you can summarize who your character is, and what their plot winds up being!

I'll be posting my own example soon enough, but if others already have a format in mind, please feel free to post it in thread. Ideally, for those that want to participate, we'd have one post in this thread, so we'd be able to scroll to one spot about your highlighted information!

Tribute Name: sinead williams
District: twelve
Age: seventeen
Likes/Dislikes: likes feeling included, new experiences, romance, and gossip, dislikes pessimists, people who take things to seriously, and probably spiders
Pre-Games Character Summary: sinead is the much younger half-sister of affron williams, the first tribute to die in the 75th. her grieving process included romanticizing his story - where he volunteered after sage scarborough in an effort to protect him, proceeded to fall in love but both tragically passing away. she has lead a very sheltered life in district twelve - leading to extreme naivety and very limited life experience.
Types of themes/plots you're hoping for with this character:
- romance/crushes would be cool
- getting caught up in the luxury of the capitol - forgetting the reality of the brutality of the games
- making enemies or generally disliking others - potentially over catty, petty reasons (such as the point above)
- experiencing brand new things - typical teenager things that she wouldn't have experienced from being so sheltered
- if anyone else is a tribsib or otherwise has connections to previous tributes, that would also be a cool theme to uncover
- friendships of course - especially with other female tributes, would love to see some gal pals

Likes/Dislikes: loves to paint, ride her bike, press flowers, being called ginny // dislikes her sister, people taking attention away from her, her age being made a point in conversation, being called by her full name

Pre-Games Character Summary: the youngest of 4 sisters, absolutely infatuated with the boy next door who loves her big sister instead. very sheltered and cries at the smallest inconveniences. comes from some money, plenty more than most kids in 8 but doesn't think she's well off. as "heartbroken" as a fifteen year old can get.

Types of themes/plots you're hoping for with this character: she's a spoiled little sister and like any 15 year old girl thinks the entire world is falling apart because her crush doesn't like her back. a reality check from one of the older kids would be great! and sweet moments with the littlies too.

Training Center Plotting Summary: definitely sticking to the more practical stations and is afraid of making a fool of herself in front of others. open to anything!

Pre-Games Character Summary: genderqueer punk musician from a happy beach house, and then the trauma plot twist comes in! parents go missing in a ship wreck, anarchy moves in with an abusive uncle. domestic case sends anarchy to the DC for 6 months -- bringing arc home with nothin' but a death wish & an emotional support dog named fisher. somewhere along the way he becomes estranged from his siblings (addison & angel) and crashes at his grandparents house before volunteering as a last ditch effort to impress them.

the only question here is: will he succeed?

Tribute Name: Ty(rone) Hope-Less
District: Eight!
Age: 17!

Likes/Dislikes: Likes art, stories (fictional and real), and thunderstorms. Dislikes receiving criticism (in an anxious sort of way), messiness.
Pre-Games Character Summary: A twin. His mom was abused (physically & verbally) by his father and it made Ty very nervous and scared around his family dynamics. His mother was arrested for stealing weapons & supplies from Peacekeepers, leaving Tyrone and his twin brother with his father. Most of the verbal abuse went onto Tyrone, which left him scared that it may turn physical, so he volunteered for the games.

Types of themes/plots you're hoping for with this character: Tyrone has been really reserved because he's been so nervous and caught up in his family's dynamics. When he volunteers, my plan is for him to feel forced into a new identity and role as a person. Maybe he falls into some bad habits?!

Cedric has been around the block - jail cells in twelve, the detention center, he runs out of excitement easily and feels trapped in a perpetual state of emptiness/boredom. desperately wants to get out of twelve, and is especially excited to live in the capitol. isn't 100% sadistic, but also isn't much for remorse either

Types of themes/plots you're hoping for with this character:

-fangirling in the capitol (bc the capitol is LIT)
-meeting celebrities and buttering up to interviewers
-causing chaos with fellow chaos-lovers
-(hopefully) creating natural enemies with his lack of remorseful outlook on the games
-actually seeing someone innocent die for the first time and how it will resonate in him (will he feel anything? let's find out)
-possible friends? comrades? light acquaintances who he might kind of feel bad for if they die?
-absolute chaos, within reason (he's gonna freak out but also be amazed if he sees a dinosaur)

Pre-Games Character Summary: The middle child of his half siblings. Iden is a fierce career who grew up in a wealthy home working as a servant to his half siblings, step mother, and father. Iden had survived a lot of trauma from being treated as beneath the Averill family, despite sharing the name. Most of his life, he was best friends with his half brother and slowly grew to sort of companionable with his sister. He's an angry boy who hates the corrupt system of power in Two and forced to be a career in order to allow his half brother to survive as the heir to the Averill Manor. Iden grew up learning from a life of servitude while also ending up as a career. Outside of this, Iden could be found joking around, less serious than inside the house, and much more of a teenage boy who wants some freedom and spends his time enjoying the pleasures of life.

Tribute Name: Aurora Emerson

District: 6

Likes/Dislikes: likes causing drama, provoking people, doesn't have many friends because she has a terrible attitude, but cares deeply for this she classifies as friends. Likes reading, likes school for the learning. Dislikes know it alls, people with no back bones, tomatoes, people telling her what do to.

Pre-Games Character Summary: has a medical condition that doesn't allow her to feel pain, has spent a lot of time in and out of hospital and never really understood the medical reason as to why not. Often finds herself getting into fights in the hopes of actually feeling pain. Because of this she has always felt different from others, like there is something wrong with her. Because of her condition she is always injured, covered in scars (from injuries and surgeries). Kinda feels alienated by her peer group. She has a terrible attitude and can come across as quite mean, but as I said before cares about those who she classifies as friends. Not that she has many cause she pushes them away.

Tribute Name: Abel O'Malley

Likes - red wine, the history of Panem, fighting, and the Bible lmao
Dislikes - people who talk too much, those against the capitol/peacekeepers, being yelled at, and lightening
Pre-Games Character Summary: Abel is the fourth born of Cliff and Clementine O'Malley, with three older siblings and two younger siblings. He's closest to his brother Cain, who is two years older than him. He has always seen Cain as a role-model and wants to follow completely in his footsteps someday, including becoming a Peacekeeper which his brother plans on doing. He strongly believes the Bible, his parents placing a heavy emphasis on religion from a young age. He is usually quite reserved and used to sticking to Cain's shadow, however, he's more independent and talkative without Cain around. He's torn between two sides of himself. A more cruel side inspired by his brother and father, the side that wants to be a Peacekeeper. And a much gentler side that cares deeply about his family that feels guilty whenever his other side comes out. These two sides are frequently at war each other, making Abel struggle with emotions and some decisions.
Types of themes/plots you're hoping for with this character:
- possible romance/crushes
- exploring his identity separate from his family
- coming to terms with the fact that being loyal to the capitol won't make him magically survive the games
- relations to previous tribs would be neat!
- any characters with particular feelings about pks or the capitol welcome

Pre-Games Character Summary: Back home, Nixie lives with both of her parents and her older sister, Marina. She and Marina argue a lot, and Nixie has a history of provoking her sister to cause arguments, whether that be by pulling pranks on her or just doing things that would irritate her. Nixie spends a lot of her time at home career training with her sister (when they're on good terms) and doing whatever she can to find a thrill, always trying new things. Nixie is also friends with 80th tribute Wander Sibley.

「TRIBUTE NAME」 Bastian Fray

The metaphorical fight, the literal fight, anything that will get his heart thumping, the taste of leather, the scent of leather, fingerless gloves, throwing a punch, blue-green bruises, the word ‘bro’, blue hour, shrimp cocktails, medium rare steaks but with garlic sauce, moving around, working out, grape soda, fellow daredevils and adrenaline junkies.

「DISLIKES」

Any kind of liquor, drugs, the cold, having to sit still, cats (big or small), routines, people who are too formal, luxury clothing, jewelry, opulence in general, and quiet places. He also doesn't enjoy picking on opponents that aren't his equal.

「PRE-GAMES CHARACTER SUMMARY」

Ares incarnate. The second oldest son of Geralt Fray, and cousin to Justice. His father was an alcoholic with a fiery temper, and so he grows up a boy with a fiery temper. Bastion, however, expresses his rage through street fights and underground boxing rings, and he has become enamored with both. Never cared for the Frays’ opulent life style; he isn’t cut out for the sparkling cider or the lawn parties. Became a gang member once but it was too much work, so he left.

He volunteered because he can fight, and perhaps it will impress the rest of his family if he is crowned, but Bastion doesn’t plan on being a good tribute.

His fists, however, do plan on breaking one or two bones.
