It was one second after I sliced the biggest sea worm in half that the rest turned towards me, eyes boring into me as they slowly looked between my blood covered blade and their broken friend. Growling, turns to wailing as they quickly gathered up the pieces of their friend and retreat back into the river and almost as quickly as they appeared they were gone. With their departure the angry surging of the water begins to calm and its just me and my very naked, very large and bleeding body and Cachi, left to face the aftermath of a battle that had almost killed them.

Exhausted, I scramble from the water, taking a seat with my back resting against the tree that mu pack rested against. I was lucky that I some spare clothing tucked away inside from that magical closet that had appeared before me in the forrest. I had picked a cute little outfit, a beautiful white undershirt, a leather corset and some gorgeous, tight fitting black pants. It had warrior elf vibes, an aesthetic that really fit with the arena, and it was so damn satisfying.

"Well, that was a shit show."

I thought that we’d get out of our own way, but I guessed wrong. It took us far too long to put down the beast, and that showed in all the new scars we’d collected. Figures what looked like the easiest fight we’d had in days turned bloodier than expected. I’d have thought that it was on account of me and my lack of skill, but even a giant Cordelia had gotten a lucky blow only at the end. Which figures. She seemed a whole lot more set on what she presented than what came to fruition. And that’s something I wished I could pull away. She gave so much less than she could’ve, and was stuck behind that.

“You’re telling me,” I replied. She could blame me all she wanted. I didn’t really give a fuck if she thought I was to blame. “You know, it might’ve helped if you weren’t a million times bigger. Never gonna get that sight out of me head.” I hoped some sponsor would give me the chance. I might not turn into some giant warrior, but I could show them my helicopter, and that had to be worth something. Not really anything - but in my head it entitled me to free shit.

“You weren’t so bad back there, thought.”
