Her mind was blurry, in a trembling heap. Trench wrapped his arms around her, and the heat was comforting, but did not stop her incessant shaking.
Oh its my fault...
What where those things?
Why can't I stop trembling?
Ouch something hurts..
I hope Trench is alright....
We barely got out alive..
Crap, my arm's starting to hurt...
Her cluster of thoughts gave her no reasurance, but it was true, her arm finally started to hurt. Searing pain made a jolt come to her brain, telling her that she was hurt in her arm.
Thanks for your late reaction brain. I kinda figured that out already.
She pushed down hopefully on the spot where it hurt, trying to get some of the blood from pouring out. But Dusk was glad Trench could sit up, and hug her. That was a good sign he wasn't too hurt. She could feel his gaze trail up and down her arm, over her wound serveral times. She knew, and could even feel the look, the look of worry he gave to her. Dusk wanted to wipe all that worry away, tell him it was ok but she knew her voice would tremble.
He spoke, sounding pretty good for just being chased by some beast things. A little out of breath, but he sounded good.
He said it was his fault they had been out too late, and been chased by the beasts. She would have disagreed with him, but Dusk suddenly realized he had picked her up, and was now carrying her toward the town. Her body rested in his arms, not wanting to move. She closed her eyes. He said something else, but she couldn't understand him. The migrane was so strong, and the buzzing in her ears made him hard to understand. But as Trench carried her toward the town, as she started to feel safe again, she knew this was their new begining. This was their second chance.
