IT'S PRONOUNCED LIKE FAIR
Ah, the Fer family. In the heart of District Three they lay, tortured by cruel fate and the outcasts of their society. With a frighteningly large family full of every type of personality you can imagine, the Fer's are hardly the normal type. Right now, they are currently spread through the districts, a mix of cousins and siblings and in some cases, adopted children. See, the main thing about the Fer's is that tragedy runs in their blood. For each generation, there has been a single tragedy that has swept through the family, ranging from hangings to fires. These tragedies have normally been very significant and commonly spread through the District like wildfire. More so, they tend to divide the family up, enough so that the family is scattered around the District, only seeing each other through events like family reunions (ones which typically end with another argument) or, if they are lucky, on the streets. There has been four generations of Fers, each holding a dark secret and showing off a deep and disturbing tragedy.
In short, The Fers are the outcasts of District Three, and surprisingly, they like to keep it that way.

A LITTLE HISTORY, SHALL WE?
A LITTLE HISTORY, SHALL WE?
As we've seen before, the Fer family has been rocked by tragedies throughout their life time. More specifically, there has been four main tragedies, the ones that have swept through District Three and have remained in the minds of outsiders for years on end.
A Treacherous Trial
In the early stages of District Three, when everyone was still working on getting used to this new life after the rebellion and when the Capitol was still asserting their control in harsh fashions, accusations ran rampant throughout the District. Unfortunately for the Fer family, they became the source of these accusations.
The problem with the Fer family during this time was that they were easy targets. They were too nice, too friendly, too kind to their neighbors and too weak. So, when The Capitol started to execute people for treason left and right, the Fer family was pointed to in a desperate attempt from people to save their own skin. And save their own skin they did. In a disturbing and sad example of just how wicked The Capitol was, the Fer's were put on trial, easily found guilty, and hanged, all except for a single child, born days before his mother was due to die. Leonardo Fer. This Salem Witch Trial-esque event is regarded as the first tragedy of the Fer's, though it is hardly the last.
If we skip forward many years, we see that the Fers have grown in number, keeping their reputation as the victims of a brutal Capitol massacre. However, it is what is under that reputation that is even more disturbing. A murder here, a tragic accident there, something in every generation of children born and grown. But the next major tragedy was approaching them faster than anyone had realized.
The Lizzie-Borden Axe Murders
It is during this tragedy that we see how much the Fer family has changed.. Lizzie and Borden Fer, both prominent members of the community and major socialites. However, parties were not just parties to them, they were chances to ruin people, to bring them down to the commoner standards and to diminish their wealth. The Fer family was no longer nice, no longer kind to their neighbors. No, they had grown out of that long ago, replacing it with a deep thirst for revenge against the District for what they had done to them, for massacring their families. And Lizzie and Borden Fer were going to carry out that revenge, through the form of reducing families to nothing, tearing them apart. However, this revenge, as they didn't realize yet, would be their own downfall.
On a cold December night, while the two slept and while the District was blanketed by snow, a hooded figure crept through the household of Lizzie and Borden Fer, unrecognizable and silent, the only thing in his hands being a newly sharpened axe. Unfortunately for the couple, their bedroom door was always open, and they were heavy sleepers. Fourty chops to the head for each of them, a single chop to the husband's knee as he had tried to escape the massacre. It was their daughter that had found them the next day. No killer was ever found, though there have been rumors that it was the other families of the District, ones that had been ruined by the two.
By now, the people of District Three had begun to take notice, to change their view of the Fer Family and to stop thinking of them as victims, but more so as people who were cursed. Rumors started yet again, about how the Fer family was cursed, about what they had done to deserve all of this. The Fer's thought it was over, that nothing could top the murders of Lizzie and Borden. They were wrong.
Aquina Fer's Drownings
Thomas and Aquina Fer, a lovely and charming couple that had become the faces of everything good in District Three. With four beautiful children and a seemingly happy marriage, what could go wrong?
Unfortunately for the Fers, everything could. For months, the marriage of the two had been crumbling, deteriorating and deteriorating until finally it snapped one day. Aquina Fer, a seemingly innocent lady, had just found out that her husband of eight years had been cheating on her... for five years. In fact, the man had a whole other family, one that lived only across the District. Broken and in a state of shock and disrepair, Aquina murdered her own children, drowning them in the family bathtub and laying them out on the bathroom floor for her husband to come home to. As anyone would be, Thomas was devastated, blaming himself for the children's deaths and looking to his wife as the victim.
As any loving husband would do, he covered up the crimes, throwing the children into the river and claiming he had found them there. The District believed it, of course. The Fers were cursed after all. Everyone moved on and time slipped by.
Aquina Fer, now reaching her fifties, stepped into the bathroom of her house. In an ironic and somewhat deserved situation, though, her foot slipped on the edge of the tub, her body plummeting towards the edge until her skull cracked open on the hard edge, her body slipping down into the tub with a cracked skull and a face of fear. The third tragedy had come to the Fer family, and it would only give way to the next.
The final and most recent tragedy comes only years before this plot, from the family of Capone Fer, a drunkard and abusive husband who spent his time getting drunk, cheating on his wife, or beating his wife and kids.
The Fer Housefire
It was a classic case of a family hanging by a thread. Capone Fer and his wife had been strained from the beginning, arguments giving way to beatings, a truly appalling relationship. But Bonnie Fer, his wife, was lovestruck, blind to her love for her husband and her yearning for a family. So make a family they did. A rather large one, as well. 6 children and a terrible marriage, an abusive husband. It could be regarded as the fourth tragedy itself. Instead, we find the tragedy comes during a night of particularly...heavy drinking from Capone Fer, the man stumbling into his living room drunk at some late hour and lighting a cigarette, an unhealthy habit he'd picked up. He had leaned back on the couch, spreading his arms on the backside of the comfortable seat and unknowingly setting the curtain right behind him on fire.
The house was up in flames within minutes, the screams of the family being heard from houses near the home. No one survived the fire, but one did manage to make it out. In a particularly disturbing photograph of the scene it shows the youngest son of the family running out of the house, his body on fire and skin melting off his body. He collapsed in the middle of the street, melting into nothingness and dying there. It is odd, because no matter how many times the street is repainted, the outline of his body appears the next day, a permanent mark on the District.
So marks the end of the Fer family tragedies. For now, at least.

SO, WHERE DO I COME IN?
Yes, the history is all good and nice, but you're probably wondering where you would come into this wack job of a family. Well, my friend, you are going to be playing the role of one of the children of the newest generation of Fers, the largest one yet, and one that has had no tragedy happen to it yet.
Although you may all be divided, families torn apart by tragedy, one fear still remains.
The fear that you may be next.

MEET THE FERMILY
-Luci Fer-
Sixteen
Female
FC: Kristina Brante
Played by: Pogue
An elegant and most times full of herself dancer, Luci has no problem taking the role of the main b*tch of the family. Most of the time, she is seen prancing around the district on her toes, a pristine combination of twirls and spins. Always the first to take advantage of the Fer family wealth and fortune, Luci thinks herself the queen, and she'll be damned if some tried to take that away.
-Tsara Fer-
Thirteen
Trans
FC: Corinna Ingenleuf
Played by: Kay
If one were to listen to Tsara talk for a few minutes, they would immediately be turned off by her cocky and "superior" personality. Of course, the young girl doesn't actually let many people talk to her at all. Raised in one of the wealthier Fer families, Tsara is the spoiled brat that one would expect her to be. However, her one weakness is her stuffed teddy bear, rufus. Which, although she'll never admit it, is always with her.
-Gree Fer-
Seventeen
Male
FC:
Played by: Cato
If you walk down a hallway of one of the Fer households and suddenly find yourself sprayed with water, tripped by a wire, or the victim of some harmless but annoying prank, you can thank Gree. The recognized prankster of the Fer family, Gree doesn't just stop at that. No, Gree is just plain mean. If you're on his shit list, he'll do everything in his power to make your life miserable, all while laughing at the pranks you've become the victim of.
-Speare Fer-
Seventeen
Male
FC: ?
Played by: Shrimp
When first meeting Speare, many take him as the career of the Fer family, or as close to one as you could get in their district. With a deep voice, a muscular body, and him being named after a weapon himself, who would think otherwise? The reality is, though, that his name is the last half of Shakespeare, a gifted writer and poet that Speare's parents had been inspired by. Raised to be a writer, Speare is just that. With him he carries his diary (though he calls it a journal), full of poems and stories. Speare is well liked throughout the family, partly because he can stay quiet, and partly because his kind and caring personality.
-Carousel Fer-
Sixteen
Female
FC: ?
Played by: Demi
At any hour of the day, one can hear circus music streaming from Carousel's room, flooding the hallways and giving the house an incredibly eerie feeling. However, unlike Luci, Carousel does not dance, she does not sing, she does nothing, nothing but sit and stare at a toy horse she acquired as a child, long since worn down and chipped. One of the odder members of the Fers, Carousel is mostly just stayed away from by other members of the family, pushed to the side. But she doesn't mind, or does she?
-Laissez Fer-
Fourteen
Female
FC: Arianna Grande
Played by: Nyte
From the beginning, it was easy to see that Laissez would pave her own path. A fan of doing her own thing, Laissez doesn't like any outside interference with her plans. An avid protester of the Capitol and a major grudge holder over what it did to her family so many years ago, Laissez isn't silenced easily. By the Capitol, or her own family.
-Pariah Fer-
Seventeen
Male
FC: Florian Van Bael
Played by: Pogue
Contrary to his name, Pariah is actually a fairly popular guy. Partier and socialite, Pariah will never turn down a chance to get away from his family for the night. Really, he does hate most of the Fers, finding them odd and creepy people. A hater of the reputation it has given him, the only person Pariah really cares about is his cousin, Kinsey.
-Kinsey Fer-
Thirteen
Male
FC: ?
Played by: Lalia
For most of the family, Kinsey is seen as a lost cause, crazy and unreadable. The boy is convinced that these things are out to get him, constantly babbling about shadows and creatures. A gifted artist, Kinsey's sketch pad is filled to the brim with drawings of horrific and disturbing creatures. Kinsey is another member that's been made the outcast of the family, a family of outcasts themselves. However, he has a particularly strong bond with Pariah, and even more so with Carousel, sitting with the girl whenever they see each other.
-Topia Fer-
Sixteen
Female
FC: ?
Played by: Anzie
Listen to Topia for all of five minutes, and you'd probably head the word "perfect" come out of her mouth at least a hundred times. See, Topia is obsessed with perfection. Everything must be perfectly straight, perfectly in order, everything has to be perfect. Her strong case of OCD rules her life, forcing her to do things again and again, over and over until they're perfect. She is another girl who isn't on good terms with Meera, as she is constantly redoing the maids cleaning and bed-making, much to the older woman's dismay.
-Rhubella Fer-
Fourteen
Female
FC: Sarah Michelle Gellar
Played by: Skittlekat
RhubellaRuby Fer has always seen things. Not the darkness that seems to haunt Ness. Rhubella hears the whispers of the dead snaking through her mind, and she embraces each and every one of them. So far removed are the lines between life and death, Ruby collected dead things- mice, rats, birds, hiding them in her room until one of her parents came to clean it out. She never minded the smell.
Born into a family of unlucky souls, other children found her terrifying at worst, avoidable at best. So, wielding the dead and projecting them into hallucinations gave her the few friends she has. Now, she fears not the ways of death, imaging the otherworld as a playground to play on.

OOC: Just a little information to add, the Fers are extremely weird. If you choose to make your own Fer (I'd like these spots to be filled firs, but whatever happens happens), I'd like this to be reflected in their names and personalities, please. For example, I don't want names like John, or Luke or any of those types of names. Yes, I know Luci seems like a generic name, but if you combine it with the last name of Fer, it spells Lucifer. So, names like that would be great. In short, exotic names=best names. THANK YOU!Sixteen
