C A G E D | D I S T R I C T 2 + A V O X

There is a house in District Two, they call it 'The Setting Sun'. It's been the ruin of many a poor soul, and Ripred knows I'm one.

The Cage family is well known, oh yes. Not for what one might think however, oh no, not at all. They do not train careers, I know that's what you were guessing, what you were all guessing. You'd be wrong. Antoilla Cage and Gaspard Cage do not have time for such frivolities, oh no my darlings, they are focused on the long term. See, many people seem to forget that once they have trained their children to be killers for their entire lives, there is not much else that they can be good at after their time of Reaping has come to an end.

It is of the parent's intentions that their children be set up for life with a full and rewarding career, that their children obtain secure jobs in the work force and possibly even succeed in doing something good for mankind.

Peacekeepers?

Oh no, no, love, please don't be silly. They aren't training Peacekeepers in that house. Quite the opposite really. They are training their children to be meek and mild, to go unnoticed, to be present when needed, to only bring to their masters the most quality of products, to be able to protect said master, to learn love for their master, to understand that they come second, third, sometimes fourth, but never first. Oh no, no, never first.

Avox dear, They are being trained to become Avox.

How can one train to become an Avox? Wonderful question. It is true after all that an Avox is made from floundering wanderers and petty criminals. The parents know this of course. Don't worry my darling, my pet. The parents know this well and they have their ways, oh they do.

ANYANA CAGE {21} | PLAYED BY THE RAVISHING RAVE

Anyana is the eldest of the Cage children and has been Avoxed for coming on three years now. As the spearhead of her parent's operation, Anyana is often referenced as their great success. As to their standards she is apparently loving, kind, self-sacrificing and meek, all trademarks of the perfect slave. However, it seems that there is a lot more to Anyana than just those qualities. She was sold to a Brothel in the Capitol due to her pretty looks rather than the rich family that her parents were hoping for. To her surprise, she rather enjoys her job there, despite the fact that it is not what her parents hoped for her. Perhaps she is not as pure as she seems.

ATTEND CAGE {19} | PLAYED BY THE CLEVER CASS

Attend is freshly Avoxed and mad about it, after attempting to screw up his parent's plan to get him caught. It was his intention to get the hell out of dodge before Avoxing could happen but his plans fell through and now he's stuck tongueless, penniless, and without rights. The family he is serving is somewhere up in the money fields, they're rolling in it. He somehow thought that slavery would be far more grueling work, but so far he's done a lot of standing around instead of actual labour. Due to his natural good looks, he's landed himself a gig as a showpiece at parties, like a pretty vase being showed off to guests. Doubled with his rebellious spirit, he's left feeling angry about it and underused. What he does with this is up to the writer.

SAMPSON CAGE {18} | PLAYED BY THE NEBULOUS NYTE

Sampson is the eldest child that is not yet avoxed. Her deadline is looming however; after she turns nineteen her parents will set her up and frame her for a crime she did not commit. They will steal her tongue from her and force her to be something she is not and never could be. Desperation is scraping her personality away, making her come across as harsh and uncaring. Truly, she is afraid. Her parents lessons on nurturing have made their mark and she has been looking after her younger siblings, especially Fee, since she was little. She is caught between a rock and a hard place, she cannot run and leave her siblings but she can not bear the thought of losing her tongue and being forced to be a slave to the Capitolites either.

FEE CAGE {16} | PLAYED BY THE EGOMANIAC, ELEGANT

Fee was adopted by Antoilla and Gaspard when he was a baby because the two believed that Antoilla could no longer become pregnant. Fee was born with a disability, a defect if you will, leading the Cage parents to choose him from the orphanage in the first place. He cannot speak and has never been able to, not by choice but because he simply cannot. Despite this factor, he is highly intelligent and is often full of questions that he throws at Sampson, sometimes signing so fast that she has to ask him to repeat himself. Fee is being trained to become the perfect Avox as well, but the thought of being 'chosen' to serve others just because he cannot speak infuriates him. He trains secretly at night when the others have gone to sleep and often frequents the training centers despite his adopted parent's wishes.

TRYST CAGE {16} | PLAYED BY THE LITERATE LALIA

Tryst was born shortly after Fee's adoption to the great joy of his parents. He is their 'little miracle' because they believed that the option of biological children was was no longer possible. Unfortunately, Tryst knows this and uses it to his advantage often. Greedy and vain he is the opposite of what an excellent servant should be, his jealousy over his elder siblings often gets in the way as well. Truly spoiled, he tries to get his parent's attention all for himself, often annoyed at the fact that he'll be forgotten over his adopted brother's constant signing and the weird sounds he'll make as if trying to form words. It's annoying. Tryst wants to show his parents that he's the perfect son, that he's the best. If he has to to get himself avoxed a bit early then he'll do it.

KAYA CAGE {15} | PLAYED BY THE ZOETIC ZOË

Kaya is truly the prodigal daughter. Taking after Anyana, she is the epitome of what her parents set out to make. Not only is she self-sacrificing and meek, she is most comfortable when she is cleaning or cooking. She's been wearing little aprons since she could pick out her clothing and liked to push a baby around in a cart when she was little. Her parents took this as a sign that they had chosen the right path for her. Truly, Kaya just loves to help people, she loves to make people smile. When her parents tell her that she is destined to lose her tongue, her smile is so false that one might laugh if it weren't for the fact that she was trying so hard. Kaya loves to sing but is too shy to even sing in front of her family, except for sometimes Fee who is so quiet that heard her for the first time coincidentally when he was taking a nap behind the living room couch.

AIDEN CAGE {15} | PLAYED BY -

Aiden was adopted a few months after Kaya's birth and is most well known for the enormous smile that lights up any room he enters. The boy seems eternally jolly despite his family's weird path. Extremely positive, he can find the silver-lining in anything. He's rather happy to float through life, being utterly hopeless at most things but for being lazy. He might try to contest his parent's career choice for him if he wasn't such a layabout, but he's less the type to make things happen and more the type to hang on and watch things unfold. He's not certain that he actually believes all of the stuff his parents say about him becoming an Avox hen he turns nineteen. He's pretty certain that his eldest siblings are still somewhere about tthe district, they're just too busy to come visit and he's just too lazy to find them.

**YANIKA CAGE {13} | PLAYED BY THE ENIGMATIC EMMIE

Yanika was adopted three years after Aiden and was chosen by the Cage parents without them fully realizing what they committed to. They took home a happy, gurgling baby but were unable to see that she was born rather simple. As she grew it became evident that she was not as fast a learner as most children at her age. At the age of Thirteen she barely speaks well let alone reads. She has an incredibly sunny disposition and is often smiling despite the fact that her intellect is so low. Her blooming beauty only adds to the love that she receives. Incredibly sweet, the Cage siblings are often reminded of life's little joys when she is around. She gets excited about almost everything and loves to give out hugs. Highly empathetic, she seems to have an innate sense for when her siblings are upset and will do all that is in her power to make them happy, however small the thing that she can do for them.

ELLIOT CAGE {12} | PLAYED BY THE AMAZING ANZIE

Elliot is the youngest of the current Cage children and he knows it well. Despite the fact that Tryst is a large influence in his life, Elliot is seemingly very wise for his age and often chooses to pay no mind to the older boy. He is most often found with his hand in Yanika's who he seems to have a large heart for. He is eerily calm and rather happy to read a book or make daisy chains with Yanika all day. Some might call it easy-going, the relaxed way that he seems to go through life. Despite the tensions in the household, Elliot seems to be untouched, as well as decided upon his fate.

ANTOILLA CAGE {41} | PLAYED BY -

Antoilla is the epitome of a 'Betty Crocker' mother. Most often spotted with an apron and toting a fresh tray of cookies, her lovely blond bob seems to never have a hair out of place. She seems to always have time for her kids, as well as a tall glass of milk and a loving embrace. It's only her actions that display her true insanity. Rather than having her children grow old and poor in District Two, she has planned a better future for her children. In her mind, a life in the Capitol at any station, even that of an Avox is much better than the life that they might live in the Districts.

GASPARD CAGE {42} | PLAYED BY -

Gaspard is so extremely against violence that he seems to have forgotten that the removal of his children's tongues is an incredibly violent operation. He's so caught on finding a better way for his children that he has forgotten that sending them to the Capitol is not saving them, it is condemning them to a life of slavery.

ANGARD CAGE {23} | PLAYED BY -

Angard Cage did not die that night, when the crime his parents framed him for went awry. He did not become Avoxed either. He is still in District Two and he is angry, oh gods is he angry. They raised him to be the perfect slave and he was, oh he was beautiful. It was not good enough. They forgot to tell him that they would take his tongue from him, they forgot to say that he would have to leave, they forgot to tell him that they would be framing him for murder. He has been in hiding for four long years and he is tired of it. Tired of moving from place to place, tired of being hunted like a dog, tired of watching his siblings visit his own grave. his plans are coming together however. Soon he won't have to hide anymore, soon he'll show the Peacekeepers who the real culprits are and soon he will be free of guilt.
