There was only one good thing to come from racing down that snowy slope with futures cores and that was the medkit that he had tucked away into his pack. Medical supplies were scarce, and if the first couple days were to go by anything, he would need a few more stitches before game over.

Amelia leads them away from the cornucopia, putting some distance between ourselves and the other tributes. Though in the back of his mind he thought that the best tactic might be too attack a few tonight, under the cover of darkness. The sound of cannons would be his lullaby. But he wasn't in the mood to argue when they started moving away, one look over his shoulder as the remaining tributes began to scatter, desperate to put distance between one another, knowing that in a matter of hours blood would be spilled.

They were heading into day four, one death. He was sure that the pure white snow beneath his feet would turn the colour of scarlet. He was sure that the sound of cannons would fill the air, sending shivers down spines as bodies fell. He briefly wandered if his body would be among the dead.

"This place looks like shit.," Amelia comments, Yuki nodding along, examining the earth beneath his feet. Holes were scattered here and there, making him become more and more aware of his footing. She continues to suggest that they make camp here, Marsh setting up a fire to boil their water.

Relief surged through his limbs as he sat as close as he dared to the open flame. He had forgotten how amazing heat felt. Eyes half lidded he cherishes the warms that caresses his cheeks, melting the icy touch of Mother Nature. "I miss this," he moans, dreading the way the fire seemed to die slightly, eating away at the last of the firewood.


"Lets get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a shit show." He turns to face Amelia, before his eyes glued over to Marsh who was making himself comfortable between his wolves, leaving a spot open for him. He didn't like the way a wave of affection rolled over him. He didn't like how he felt his facial expression soften as he watched the boy wiggle around trying to find a comfortable spot. It must be the cold, he reassurance himself. Marsh looked so warm, whilst he was so fucking cold- all the time- that's what it must be.

"I'll take first watch," he mumbles, moving to sit on the snowy ground by the dying fire.
