For the fifth day of Ratmas, we librarians are bringing back an event some of you may remember from last year - the Bio Resub event, an exercise to give people motivation to finally redo that old ass bio from several years ago that may no longer be relevant to a character
The rules of this event are simple: take one of your oldest bios and rewrite it, updating the writing style, that character, or both from the old to the new. Even if you've only been around here for a few months, it's extremely likely that your writing style has evolved tremendously since then - and if you've been around here for literal years like I have, then the writing style between your oldest and newest bios could very well be the writing styles of two different people. (Just look at the bio for my most recent tribute, Sapphire, for example - I had to retcon so much stuff that very little in the og bio actually counted.
The specifications for rewriting these bios are as follows. If you've been on the site for less than 2 years, then any bio that is older than six months will count as eligible to be rewritten. If you've been on the site for between 2 and 4 years, any bio that is older than a year will count, and if you've been on the site for 4 years or longer any bio that is older than two years will count. These must be bios of living characters - if you've killed off your oldest bio either in or out of the games they do not count towards the overall total - and the resubbed bios must be full length instead of CBs (the original bio can be either or). Once you've finished these, post in this thread with both the link to your old bio and the link to the rewritten bio to claim credit for this event!
Any individual that finishes a bio resub that fits the requirements of your standard bio by 11:59pm PST on Saturday, January 11th will receive 5 ratmas house points and a third reservation slot on the faceclaim list for the year of 2020. Extra bios can be written for extra points (2 for your second and third, 1 for your fourth).
